3 Squeeze Page TipsIt’s a pretty common practice for Internet marketers to use lead capture web pages. The sole purpose of a lead capture page, or ‘Squeeze Page’ as Jonathan Mizel coined them, is to trade the owners of the eyeballs seeing the page something they’ll value enough to give their email contact information in exchange for getting the page’s offer. Coming up with give away items viewers will trade their email address for, is often a hassle for novice online marketers. Keep reading and we’ll look at three simple methods you can use to quickly put together a give away report your visitor will trade their contact information for. 1. YC Report: A report made up with your content. Put 10 of your blog posts, your blog posts, past newsletter issues, or your articles, into one report. _Give the report a snazzy name. After an opt-in has verified their email addy, include a download link to the report within the first message of your autoresponder follow-up series. 2. OP Report: If you can’t do #1, combine Other People’s ‘free to publish’ articles into a squeeze page give away report. Most online niches have hoards of individually written articles whose authors would appreciate more exposure for their content. The articles you choose should be informative, and relevant to the interests of your niche. Find articles in ezine directories, or do a search at your favorite search engine. For the purpose of goodwill: It’s crucial you contact each writer and get specific permission. Tell them how you’ll use the article. Assure them you won’t remove their copyright, their resource box, or their links. Finally, tell the authors you will email them a download link to the finished report. Other than the source of content, the process is exactly as is the above steps. Yeah, you will give a few competitors free exposure. Don’t sweat it. If you continue to work the niche, you’ll soon have your own content to replace the OP Report with. Plus, depending on your niche, 70 - 85% of the people who download the report won’t read more than a few pages. (I have a few other ways to make this type of report work for you. But, that’s another story…) 3. PLR Report: Same as # 1. Merely edit the private label rights report, add your links, stick on a new graphic and go. These three methods have worked for me. They may, or may not work for you. It’s your job to test anything I, or any other online marketer, relate about marketing. Some tactics work for one type of selling situation, but perhaps not so well for our particular set-up. That’s why we test, track and test again.
