Autopilot Cash Formula - 7 Steps to Building a Responsive Customer List

Building a responsive customer list is detrimental to growing your business both online and offline. You’ve heard it said that the money is in the list. And the best list you can get is your own. This article will give you 7 steps to building a responsive customer list.

1. Start your email list with people you already know, like family and friends. Invite your friends to subscribe to your business email list, then ask them to have their friends subscribe to your list. Never just add someone to your list without their consent. That’s a big turnoff.

2. At the point of sale for every transaction (whether it’s online or offline) ask your customer if they’d like to subscribe to your newsletter or mailing list to get special offers or promotions. You’ll notice this more and more at retail stores and even grocery stores. This works exceptionally well online too.

3. Make sure it’s easy for your customers to subscribe to your list. Make sure the sign up form on your website is in plain sight and easy to read. Just ask for an email and first name, that’s it. Anything else will turn your customers off. Do the same thing with your offline customers. Make sure the sign up form in your store is easy to read.

4. Give them a lot just for subscribing. Incentives always work. Give your customer a coupon or a discount off their next purchase if they subscribe to your list. People love getting something for nothing and your customers are no different.

5. Never abuse your list. Always send them relevant information about your product or services. Nobody likes signing up for a newsletter only to get a bunch of stupid promotions in their email box every day. Don’t do that because your customers will unsubscribe quickly.

6. About once a month, give your customers something special. This could be a coupon or a free report or a friends and family special at your store. Give you clients a gift once a month. If you give a lot, you’ll get a lot. People will be less apt to unsubscribe from your list if you’re giving them gifts every month.

7. Only refer products you have used yourself. If you’re building a list so you can do joint ventures or promote other people’s stuff, then make sure you test the stuff you’re promoting to your list. The second your list believes your sending them stuff just to make a buck, they will unsubscribe. Only send them offers that YOU would purchase Okay?

While it is true, the money is in the list. The second you abuse your subscribers they’ll be gone. Just follow these 7 easy steps and you’ll be well on your way to a responsive customer list.
