Mammoth List Review - Is Mammoth List a Legitimate Opportunity?Mammoth List is a list building/affiliate marketing system which allows members to build a ‘mammoth list’ of business minded people. It is a concept that potentially appeals not only to people looking to invest in a first time business but also to those who are looking for a system they can affix to their current opportunity and create synergies with. The way Mammoth List works is that when you sign into the system a list of 5 people appear in your account. When you deposit $12 into the system each of the 5 people in the list will receive $2 and you will receive your unique affiliate page and a replicated website to promote your link. The person in the #1 position is removed from the list. The rest of the people are moved up one position. Your name is then placed in position #5. This indicates that you able to receive sale commissions from people 5 degrees away. It’s then a matter of promoting and marketing your unique affiliate link in order to get more and more referrals into the system. At first blush it appears that Mammoth List presents aspects similar to a chain letter. However the creator Clay Montgomery has asserted that is not a scam or chain letter for several reasons. The system does not use mail or letters so cannot be a chain letter. Furthermore chain letters do not have a real product or service, whereas Montgomery states that Mammoth List offers a service which enables people to build a targeted list. It is however easy to see how people could confuse the two as the distinction between Mammoth list as a legitimate opportunity and a scam is borderline. The appeal of Mammoth List is the low price point. People who only have a small amount of money to invest are able to sign up to the system, which can be recouped in a relatively short amount of time. On that note though, the low price point also does not provide much incentive to get serious and active with the business since sinking $10 is not much of a loss to most people. Furthermore a problem with these types of systems is that they tend to have a short life spam of around 2 years and in order to earn money you need to get in early. Don’t get me wrong, it is possible to earn money using Mammoth List, however this COMPLETELY depends on how well you promote your affiliate page. Mammoth List provides marketing material however does not offer much guidance on HOW to market your page. If you don’t already know how to advertise and market your affiliate link then that $10 may be better spent on lunch or a lottery ticket. Because the truth is that people do not succeed simply by joining a company. This is a mistake that many people make time and time again. Another promise of the system is the ability to generate leads. This is one of the reasons why most network marketers/internet marketers fail so such a system is very appealing! However I wouldn’t get too excited about getting leads with Mammoth List. These systems are really about making money through the geometrically expanding payout strucutre and the ‘List’ features are secondary at best. However for those who would like to try to squeeze every penny out of their Mammoth List it is necessary to fuse it with another opportunity. Mammoth List provides a tool which enables you to build a list, however the inevitable question is what do you do with this list? You could potentially be sitting on a gold mine, however without knowing HOW to market, or WHAT to market to these leads, you’re letting dollars slip through your fingers. To be successful it is fundamental that people learn the ability to market and to place any opportunity in front of the right people. If you become a student of the industry and learn these skills, success will flow irrespective of the company you are associated with.
