What Is an Internet Marketing Giveaway?

Giveaways were the way I started building my list and I still use them every chance I can. This is also how I got lots of great information and learned a lot about internet marketing. Before my first Giveaway, I had about 40 people on my lists. I joined the Giveaway for free and I ended up getting 60 more people to subscribe to my email newsletter list.

Well I was hooked. Here’s how an Internet Marketing Giveaway works:

One person has the software to run a Giveaway on their website. They send out an email to their subscribers asking for JV Contributor partners. They want everyone that has a email list or is ready to start a email list.

There are two kinds of JV Contributor Partners.

Free Contributors:

The only cost for you is that you have a gift for this event that can be any e-book, audio/video, course, membership, training, reports, etc. that you own or have the giveaway rights to. Normally with a free account you can place one Giveaway Gift into the giveaway. What happens will you will need a Squeeze Page with your autoresponder code on it. Any giveaway members will need to signup to your email list for access to your gift.

Upgraded Contributors:

They pay to place ads on the giveaway website. I have seen the costs go anywhere from $8 to $200 depending on who is running the giveaway. The reason you paid to become an upgraded contributor is that you get to add 3 to 5 more gifts, lots more chances to get people to signup on your list. They also get to place a full page ad on the login page and sell any kind of product they want. Normally upgraded contributors also get to place text ads inside the site.

Most of the time I have upgraded, I have made my money back and a little more. At this point and time, I upgrade on some giveaways and don’t on others.

One thing both free and upgraded contributors need to do is try and find more JV Partners, because if they upgrade, you get 50% to 100% of upgrade price. This can be a great side benefit. One nice thing about being an free or upgraded contributor is that you also can download all the gifts in the giveaway without signing up to every other marketer’s email lists.

Once you have joined, you add your gift and check out the site. The giveaway software build into the website is very easy to use. You are able to see all the other contributors and see everyone’s stats. The stats tell how many contributors and members everyone has sponsored, and much more.

On the date of the Giveaway Launch, every contributor sends out emails to their own lists, twitter, facebook and anywhere else you can market your giveaway link.

There are two kinds of members, free and upgraded.

Free Members: They can download every gift, but they have to sign-up for each email list to get each gift. If you are a free member, I suggest you sign-up and get your gifts, and then unsubscribe from most of the lists. You don’t want information overload.

Upgraded Members: They pay a fee and then can download every gift without signing up to any lists.

I recommend Giveaway’s to everyone. If you are just starting out and want to learn about internet marketing, you can get all kinds of great information for just joining someone’s list. If you already have an email list, this is one of the great ways to take your list to the next level. P.S.
