Back in the day when internet marketing was fairly new the only tasks that an online marketer had to worry about was generating traffic to their website and their conversion rate. Before autoresponders and email marketing, online business owners had to buy their leads from list brokers in order to generate targeted traffic.

Things have changed where it is now up to the internet marketer to manage their traffic, conversions, leads and more.

In order to be a successful online marketer you have to understand that you will profit more if you have a group of customers who are eager to purchase from you at any time.

Without a list you’ll only have one time customers where they purchase once and only once. If you have list of targeted leads, you can continue selling to them which has a way higher conversion rate then a one time customer.

So how do you make a profit with your list?

- The first thing that you have to do is drive all of your traffic to a capture page. A capture page is a single page that has one purpose which is gathering names and email address in order to build your list.

- The next thing that you need to do is provide you list with quality content. You leads will only buy from you if they trust you which is why it’s up to you to make sure that they get value for their purchases and contact information.
