Secret 1 - Study your competition and do better. I hope for your sake you are not the only one in your niche. If no, then study your competition. Look at their squeeze pages and see what they offer to get the sign up. Perhaps a free report, a software item or a new technique is all you need.

Secret 2 - Word and reword your offer. Your opt in page is a sales page, lets face it. you are trying to build an email list and that requires good ad copy. Analyse your sales pitch regularly and change it up frequently. Always be testing the best converting page against a new one.

Secret 3 - Look within the product your selling. Nowadays the line has shifted. There is some very valuable content being given away online just in exchange for that email address. Take a good look at the report or incentive your offer for a new subscriber and perhaps include something you think you should charge for. You might like the conversion and sign up increases to your opt-in email lists.

Secret 4 - Stack it, stack it, to the top. Consider offering a bonus #2 or #3 to your opt in page and see if your conversions go up. Some times a new subscriber is looking for quantity as well as quality.

Secret 5 - Connect to your subscriber. Do you know the age, sex, race, income or occupation of your average subscriber? If you do you can more laser target your incentive to join your list and in turn will see your list building efforts increase.

Attention: Not paying attention to your special offer will make your building lists effort useless.
