List Building Secrets Series - How to Build a Responsive List Part 2 - Best Content

By now you should have a list of targeted people I explained on previous part. (Please read “List Building Secrets Series - How to Build a Responsive List Part 1 - Targeted People”)

People who are eagerly to opt in to get your incentive are in your list now. But is it the end of story? Absolutely not my friend. In order to ensure your list stays for you for a long time and get more responsive you need to not only deliver what it is on your promises, but you need to over-deliver.

The biggest mistake that made by many marketers is only offer their list a mediocre content. They thought they don’t have to deliver too much high quality content to their list. After all, people who subscribe to their list didn’t pay a dime to get their incentive (such as free report and newsletter) and they thought their list don’t need and expect golden information from them.

Not quite like that I must say. You must thinking from your subscribers side to know their problem and what are they expecting exactly by get in your list.

Didn’t you know your newsletter isn’t the only one that your readers got and are subscribed to? Indeed, someone that really interested in a particular topic is more likely to subscribe to dozens of newsletter in the niche.

That means you have competition for readers time to read newsletters. They probably don’t have time to read all they got. Certain people only “screening” all subject emails they got and immediately put away several ones they don’t like to trash without open them first. See my point?

Most readers interest of your newsletter depend on what is in your first one that sent. If you can hook them in your first few newsletters or follow up messages, then you have them for life. If you failed, then they will start to ignoring your newsletter, or even worse they will immediately delete it and unsubscribe from your list. Game over.

Just think about this: if you deliver them only some mediocre content that she can be (or often) seen elsewhere, then how they likely will stay on your list for a long time? Not very. There also as well as your response rate.

Also if you only give them some resell rights products or guides that have been well known or old dated ones, they may likely slow but sure will think you are not quite an expert and your next newsletter will be ignored. If they did, your recommendation of any paid products will be treated by them the same as mediocre as your content you brought them. Again it’s also hurt your response rate.

So what should you do then?

–>Give Away Your Best Content<–

Forget about all mediocre content your subscribers can find elsewhere and give them your best and rare ones. In short, try to give them anything that they can’t get elsewhere except from you. Your subscribers will love you more and boost up your response rate every time you broadcast a newsletter.
